3-Step Morning Routine for Positive Mindset: Momma Edition by Brittany DeNucci

As a mother, your days are filled with taking care of your children, managing the household, and balancing work and personal responsibilities. It's easy to get lost in the chaos of daily life and feel overwhelmed. However, prioritizing just a bit of time each morning to center yourself can help you start your day off on the right foot. Here’s a quick 3 step routine to help get you in the right mindset:

  1. Mindful Breathing: Taking a few minutes each morning to focus on your breath before you even jump out of bed is a way to regulate your system before you start the day. Just by taking 10 deep breaths while noticing your body’s sensations you are creating the opportunity to practice connecting with yourself and choosing how you set the tone for your day.

  2. Movement: Exercise is a powerful tool for supporting your positive mindset. Even just a few minutes of movement each morning can help you feel energized and ready to tackle your day. You can try a quick yoga flow or even some jumping jacks or stretches. (I’ve been known to break out in a dance party when my little one joins in on my morning ritual). The key is to find an activity that feels good to you and gets your blood flowing.

  3. Breakfast: Eating a balanced breakfast can help regulate your blood sugar levels and provide your body with the energy it needs to tackle the day ahead. So next time you're tempted to skip breakfast and go straight for the cup of coffee, remember that taking care of your body can help you feel calmer and more centered throughout the day.

By taking a few minutes each morning to center yourself and prioritize fueling your body, you can establish a sense of calmness and positivity to help you better handle the daily ups and downs of the day. I know on the mornings that I give myself these basics, I feel more productive throughout my day because this sense of routine and structure helps me feel in control and more aligned.
